Attack on Titan

OMG, I can't believe Shingeki no Kyoijin (Attack on Titan) is releasing its anime. I thought it was an underrated manga and this news makes me really happy. Finally, this series will gain exposure. With its magnificent artwork and stunning plot, I'm sure it will attract many new readers/viewers. I'm incredibly happy you guys have no idea.

Now, you guys must check out the trailer. It is so well done and the music rocks! The atmosphere and tension you feel in the trailer is exactly what you must feel when reading this series. Utter despair and slowly regaining hope. I'm telling you, this manga/anime is fantastic. Coming from a picky shounen manga reader like me, my words gotta count for something. When I said a manga is good, it's very likely to be really good.

This story is about human civilization being attacked by mysterious giants in the future. These giants cannibalize humans and drove humanity to seek refuge in a small city where they built tall walls of defense. There, humans lived in fear of invasion. Lacking technology we have today, their only way of defending themselves are just using limited fuel tanks to zoom around and blades to cut. One day, a super mega huge giant the height of the wall appeared and destroyed the precious wall that separated humans and those vicious giants. Despair, the humans are driven further into the city's inner walls. But slowly, these walls are being broken down and humanity has nowhere else to hide anymore. It was then, Eren has something unexpected to offer. He was able to become ... Watch the anime. LOL.

  1. The concept is really anime-stuff. Looks good, will try to look it up.

On a related note, have you tried reading the manga Mushishi? It's a two-thumbs up especially if you're into supernatural stuff and nature in general. There's an anime out for it as well. Tell me what you think of it. :)

  3. Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. Love this AoT anime, love the Attack on Titan cosplay costumes in www.cosplayfield.com!
